TAF2+ offers short to long-term support to Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Low Income Countries (LICs), Lower-Middle Income Countries (LMICs) (including country groups) across distinct windows managed by the Fund Manager (FM) – the negotiation window, the strategic window and UK Government country office window.
DFID plays an important and significant role in building the capacity of developing countries to negotiate more effectively in order to unlock the gains and accelerate inclusive economic development. DFID has put in place TAF2+
as a continuation of the TAF1 (2011-2016) that successfully supported on-demand technical assistance for developing countries in trade negotiations .
TAF2+ contributes to enabling better and more informed participation by developing countries in negotiation processes by increasing the technical skills and coordination of trade and investment ministries.
