Amanda is an independent consultant whose work has focused on gender inequality, trade and social development. For the past ten years, she has researched for and coordinated programs concerning gender, economic and social issues, working to bring resources to transnational feminist movements and to bring in gender and social perspectives to trade and development programs. Amanda has worked with donor agencies such as the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), think tanks such as the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) as well as small, activist start-ups such as FRIDA | the Young Feminist Fund. She is currently completing a PhD at the London School of Economics (LSE) concerning the intersections of gender, agriculture and labour in Hawai’i, where she was raised.
